I Will Be...

I am going up to Florida to spend some time with Mom before she flies out to Texas for several months.

I should begin posting again in late September when I return. Make yourself at home while I am away. Feel free to read any old posts, look at the previously posted beadwork and if you leave a comment, don't feel bad that it doesn't appear for a while. I will have little if any internet access while I am away.

Each of you, my Loyal Readers, will be lifted in prayer as I travel.

Nuh fret, mi soon come! (Don't worry, I will be back soon!)

Coming Home Is So Sweet

Thank you, Jah, for Your guidance and protection of our going out and coming in.

We have returned home to Jamaica safely to find our home standing and all the animals alive. That is one of the things I prayed for each day we were in America. Now I am giving thanks for answered prayers.

There's no place like home. There's no place like home. There's no place like home. Can you tell I am glad to be back home?

I give thanks to Jah for the four generations of family that got together to hug and kiss and eat and drink and remember and sing and laugh and love and enjoy each other's company. This time, thankfully, there was no death that brought the far-flung family together.

There is so much I want to share with you about our trip, but that will have to come in future posts. Now it is time to start responding to comments left while I was away. Then I need to catch up on what's happening with Sistren Irie Diva. She has been on my mind and in my prayers while I was away.

Voice From Jamaica To Be Silenced...

...but only for a short while.

We are going up to the States for a long-overdue family visit. I plan to get in nuff nuff hugs and kisses. There are four generations of folks we will be seeing, from both sides of the family tree.

And, what a tree it is! We have Jamaican, African-American, Caucasian-American, Iranian, Canadian, Japanese, Black British, Italian, Native American, Puerto Rican, and Scotch-Irish branches on our family tree. Our family reunions look like mini-United Nations conferences.

Please take this time while no new blogs are being posted to read thru the previous posts, link over to Free Rice to feed some hungry people and above all, keep Lady Roots in your prayers.

And, Sistren Irie Diva, I will be holding you to your promise of no rebound biznez! You are Jah's precious chile and much too valuable to waste.

Mi nah lef unno, mi jus tun mi back. Mi soon come!
