Walk Good, Empress Miriam

Banned from her own country for over 30 years, Miriam Makeba now sings with the angels in Zion. Sistren Miriam died at age 76 after a concert in Italy.
After singing the world famous Pata Pata, she collapsed on stage. She was prophetic when she used to say, "I will sing until the last day of my life."
Heartfelt condolences to the family.

I don't know of Empress Miriam-can you tell me more? I am sorry to hear of her passing but know that she is now in the International band of Angels! Glorious day for her, but sad day for those left behind-for them we pray!

I love you!

Sistren Leslie,

Thanks for stopping by again. I am going to send you an email with some links to info on Miriam Makeba.

She was known as Mama Africa and two of her most famous hits were "Pata Pata" and "The Click Song".

She sang about life under the apartheid regime of South Africa, was married to Stokley Carmichael (Black activist) and collaborated with Paul Simon on the Graceland album.

Bless Up,
Lady Roots

A nice way to pass on doing what you love, isn't it?

Idren Patrick,

Yes, I agree 100%. Singing the truth was Empress Miriam's gift to the world and she was blessed to be able to share that gift up to her last day in this created realm.

Now she sings with the Angels of
Zion (Heaven).

Bless Up,
Lady Roots
