Why We Celebrate Christmas

Please don't let the hustle and bustle of shopping, eating, gift-giving, traveling, drinking and partying make you forget the reason we celebrate Christmas. It is the celebration of the birth of our crucified and resurrected Saviour, Jesus Christ. Let us give thanks to Jah for the gift of Jesus' blameless life!

I am lifting each of you in prayer, asking Jah to open your eyes to the truth of our world. May 2009 find you inspired to uplift yourself, your family, your community and our world.

Blessed Love to anyone who has stopped by for a holiday visit. Please stop by again soon.

Today was one of those days Lady Roots! Running to take James to a cousin's house, Patrick and I finishing shopping and getting groceries. We came out to a vehicle that backed out of the parking space and died....phew. But then a gentleman passed his baby girl to his wife and helped Patrick and I push it out of the way. Many people offered whatever help they could. I was able to find a ride for Patrick, the purchases and I. The tow truck came so fast, thank you for calling Clay. Greg at the repair shop laughed and said it would be no problem to look at. I stopped and took a breath and remembered while this is stressful, especially with money and the time of year, how blessed we were. How many strangers offered a hand and how one phone call brought my friend running and offering whatever help she could. Not everyone is so lucky. The truck will get fixed, this memory will become something that we laugh about and I will always remember standing in the parking lot filled with the spirit of Christmas because of the kindness of others. I hope that this holiday finds you healing and celebrating the true meaning with those you hold most dear. Much love to you today and all through the year. Merry Christmas.

Sistren Di,
Merry Christmas to your and your family! May your home be filled with love.

Sistren Pepper,
I am staying in this year. Can’t find any party wear that matches my cast. Rootsman has invited the sound crew and some close idren to stop by for some holiday festivities. He cooks, sets up the sound in the back yard and plays his music. I hope this Christmas brings a deeper unity between you and LB.

Sistren Jules,
How amazing when Jah sends His angels in the guise of loving, helping hands. May your home quake with family laughter and love this Christmas. Give big hugs to Idren Clay, Patrick, James and then have Idren Clay give you a hug from me!

Idren Esteban,
May the miracle of Christmas fill your heart with hope and joy. I hope 2k9 brings the birth of your long awaited blog.

Sistren Leslie,
Jah so loved this world that He gave His only Son, that we could have I-ternal life. Blessed EarthStong, Baby Jesus. You are our Light. Merry Christmas, my sweet, loving friend. Your life is a gift to those who know you.

Bless Up,
Lady Roots

Sistren Bev,
I am glad you shared that link. As long as there are wise elders who are willing to show the light of truth to our children, we will always hold our Saviour, Jesus, as precious and worthy of praise.
Bless Up,
Lady Roots
